I get so used on my macbook pro with finger print scanner authentication ( admin authentication, Enpass, 1password ) that I was wondering if is possible to use the same features with an external finger print scanner?

There are a number of external fingerprint and biometric scanners available for macs so I don’t see why not.

I don't need it to unlock the mac but on macbook is possible to use touch ID to unlock some software that use it as an alternative to password input like 1password and enpass, use it when is prompt for admin password.

Searching on Amazon all fingerprint are for Windows.

Here is an app to use your iPhone as a fingerprint scanner. Eikon made a fingerprint scanner for Mac but it’s no longer made.
