External Hard Disk Problems

I bought two 80GB 2.5" Freecom external hard disk last June. One for my friend, which is still up and running. Mine stopped working after 2 weeks. I returned it back and bought another. The same brand and memory. I went back to Oman with all my work saved in it and again it stopped working. I returned it back and bought a 120GB 2.5" Freecom, but white this time not black 😀 from a different website. A friend of mine borrowed it and took it to Kuwait. He called me 3 days ago saying that the HD blew yet again. I am waiting for him to return it back so I can return it.

One is HD and it's the HD.
Two HDs and I am just plain unlucky.
Three HDs and there is a problem with me.

I would like to buy a new HD. What do you guys recommend? A solid one that won't break would be great. 😀

I have two external hard drives and both have proved reliable.

1. 300Gb Maxtor Firewire drive

2. Pika One 250 Gb Firewire drive

I can recommend either one.

Do they come in 2.5" casing or are they 3.5"ers. I am looking for a 2.5" now. I might buy 3.5" later.

3.5" but I have found them very reliable.
