External Hard disk to be used on both Mac & PC

Hi,

I had a External Harddrive.Currently i can Read//Write on it in Windows PC(Windows7)

But when i use the same drive in Mac i can only read...but can't able to write

How to resolve this issue

Your drive is probably formatted NTFS. You'll need to either reformat it as FAT32, or install NTFS-3G & MacFUSE to read/write NTFS drives. If you're on Snow Leopard it might be a bit tricky, but Leopard and below should be fine.

I went the route of FAT32 on my shared backup drive and it was fast and simple to do. Works great now too.

If you do this, and go with FAT32....can you still use it as a Time Machine backup drive as well or no?

Yes Time Machine will work with a Fat32 Drive.
