Ok so I have a 2011 Macbook Pro and last year I got a 1TB WD External Hard Drive for it. It was for both Mac and PC and was working great up till last month. Now it doesn't show up anymore. I looked on System Information and it shows up there and lists this:
    My Passport 0730:

    Product ID: 0x0730
Vendor ID: 0x1058 (Western Digital Technologies, Inc.)
    Version: 10.08
    Serial Number: 575836314139304138303935
    Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
    Manufacturer: Western Digital
    Location ID: 0xfd120000 / 4
    Current Available (mA): 500
    Current Required (mA): 500
    Capacity: 1 TB (1,000,170,586,112 bytes)
    Removable Media: Yes
    Detachable Drive: Yes
    BSD Name: disk1
Partition Map Type: MBR (Master Boot Record)
    S.M.A.R.T. status: Not Supported
    Volumes:
    Name's:
    Capacity: 1 TB (1,000,170,533,376 bytes)
    File System: MS-DOS
    BSD Name: disk1s1
    Content: DOS_FAT_32

I also checked in Disk Utility and part of it shows up, but it won't let me do anything with it. If anyone can give me some insight or help me try to get this to work again that would be great!
