Just bought a new MBP 15 mid-2012 and I need to find an external hd to use as a backup drive. I'm looking for at least 750 gb with USB 3.0 that is simple o setup using time machine. Open to all suggestions.

I've been looking at the Seagate GoFlex. Mostly good reviews except for a few that said it didn't like Time Machine. I have an older Iomega hd but not big enough or fast enough now. Thanks for the suggestion!

I see that the GoFlex for the Mac is only USB 2.0 but the one targeted for Windows is 3.0.
    How come they did that?

I did not know GoFlex for the Mac but I bought GoFlex for Windows PC and format it to work with Mac...It worked perfectly with Mac USB 3.0
