I'm in the middle of a backup from time machine to my MBP.
If I stop it in the middle what happens?
I realized I don't want to back it up that far.

No. I started uploading a back up from yesterday and accidentally stopped in the middle. I chose to replace the HD with the Backup version. Stopped halfway like an idiot. And now I lost 10Gb's somewhere. Can I delete that wasted upload?
I'm not sure I understand. You were backing up your internal hard drive, but stopped the backup in the middle of the process? Or you were restoring your hard drive from a backup file, and stopped the restoration?

Or you were restoring your hard drive from a backup file, and stopped the restoration?

That one. I accidentally stopped towards the beginning. I erased the Macintosh HD in the "Time Machine Backups" after stopping on accident.

My available GB's before the restoration was 482.36GB. After stopping at the beginning of the restoration I had 475GB (so 7 GB's were used somewhere.) After I saw the Macintosh HD in the Time Machine Backups folder and erased it. My GB available is 482.36GB again.

Do you think I erased anything/messed anything up?

Also. I hooked up my external HD to my MBP to transfer over iTunes music yesterday. After I did the transfer I used it as my Time Machine. It said it had to reset the setting to make it work, I let it. It was my time machine.

Well now I need to transfer something else over from my PC to my Mac.
When I plug it into my PC the external HD isn't working.
I'm so frustrated right now. Please help.
