just got a G-Tech 2TB Raid a few days ago for editing in FCP 7 and was wondering if I should turn it off when not in use or leave it on all the time?

I wouldn't leave it running for hours, but I wouldn't turn it on and off every 5 minutes either. Find a happy medium.
