I have a WD external HD and when I plug it into my USB, it says the device is drawing too much power and will disconnect the port.

I use Leopard and a Mac Book Pro.

Connect the external power supply for the USB drive.

use the external power supply for the drive .. Since Usb is only puts out 7 watts of power
