I have a 7200rpm FireWire 800 drive. It's HFS+ formatted and works flawlessly on my Mac partition. It used to work fine on Windows using MacDrive 8, but lately it freezes the entire system seemingly at random times (but it eventually happens every time I use it on Windows). I plug in the drive, everything is fine. I start a download from BitKinex (ftp client) and walk away. A few minutes later, the computer is frozen. There is no response whatsoever and I have to hard shutdown the computer. I've run repair disk and verify disk in Disk Utility, and no errors or anything came up. Again, it works flawlessly on the Mac side. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be here? This happens every single time I use it in Windows. The odd thing is that it used to work fine in Windows.

windows don't like writing to a hfs+ formatted disc. you could always reformat in dos/fat32 but have restriction on size of files?folders of 4gb i think but both wins and mac read/write to.
