Hi, I recently purchased this external hard drive. I transferred several GB of movies/TV shows/music onto it from a Windows 7 PC. Now that I've hooked it up to my Macbook (10.6.2), it shows up as read only. I have no idea what the first step is to remedy this problem!

By design, all NTFS partitions are read-only by default on Snow Leopard. You have two ways of changing this, the best is to use NTFS-3G in conjunction with MacFUSE as it gives better results than making the in-built OSX one mount read-write.
