Hey guys!
So, I have a hard drive which I have been using with my Macbook Pro for a long time. It's in Mac OS Extended Journaled format.
Last night I bought a Boxee Box (obviously not the best buy) and hooked it up with my HDD. Later that night I hooked the HDD again up to my Macbook and tried to transfer some files to it. And this is were the problems are starting.

It seems like I can't transfer anything. Even though I get the timeline of transfer (how minutes left of transferring) and the "bip/ding" that tells me it's done, the file does not show up in the HDD. If I try to transfer a folder, only the folder will be transferred and no files.

Anyone have a solution? Do I really have to format the HDD again?

I don't know anything about the Boxee, so I can't help you there.

There's almost never a reason to reformat a drive. DiskWarrior can fix almost everything. Alternatively, you can boot from an OS install disk and run Disk Utility's "Repair Disk" option, but it doesn't fix particularly much.

There may be other things going on.
