Hi guys and girls

I am running a Mid 2015 iMac 27 5k with some external HDD's in this http://www.icydock.com/goods.php?id=189 and would like to monitor there temps, is there an app that does this?

I have looked at TGpro and MONIT but both don't show external temps. Am I being stupid and the actual HDD's don't have a sensor on them ? the drives are WD one blue and one black 3.5", the enclosure is set to JBOD if that makes any difference.

hope you can help.

Thanks

I'm unfamiliar with that enclosure but you'll likely need access to its proprietary software. Is that something that's possible with an exclosure like that?

A Synology NAS for example....

If it's not possible then I wouldn't worry too much about it tbh...

If the software that came with the enclosure doesn't offer any sort of temperature monitoring capability, then I think you're out of luck. I have a QNAP NAS (which is not used any more), and the NAS software reports a bunch of statistics and the temp is one of them.

I now use a DROBO DAS and that does not report the disk temps.
