Hello

So long story short, my phone is an iPhone 8 Plus, I don’t want to upgrade at any point in the next 5+ months.

About 2 weeks ago, I was using my phone, and the home button haptics didn’t seem “press” but it went to the Home Screen as planned, but when trying to get back to my home screen or use the app switch it didn’t work. I have tried many options, but I just can’t get it working.

I am currently using the onscreen home button for everything but it is getting in the way.

My idea came to me by looking at getting the home button fixed, but I want to keep Touch ID, and non Apple replacement it will loose Touch ID, and the new button will work via Bluetooth.

If this is true, why not get an external button to press that uses Bluetooth and can act as a new home button, I am thinking of a selfie button, if I can use the button to take photos why not use it for a replacement home button?

Are you able to recommend one to me? Cheap and cheerful would be ideal.

at this point just upgrade in my honest opinion. coming from the 8 plus you will notice a massive upgrade, don't see why you wouldn't want to upgrade
