External Keyboard and display issues

Hey everyone,

I have a 2.4 aluminum Macbook connected to a Gateway display and everything works fine except for whenever I wake the computer from sleep mode when it's connected to the display, after everything comes up on the screen, the external keyboard doesn't work, and I have to unplug and plug it back in again. It's not too big of a deal, just a little irritating after awhile.

I should add that's it's not an Apple keyboard, just a generic USB keyboard, and I can wake the computer using the external keyboard, just once its awake, the keyboard doesn't work.

Any ideas?

if you have installed tthe Istat uninstall it, this is the problem.

iStat the widget? or the actual application?

uninstall the application then all your problems will go away.

Well I don't have the application installed, just the widget which I don't use so I don't know if that's it
