Hi everybody,

I'm using a third party external keyboard and I'm quite used to have classic PC style behavior of HOME and END keys (i.e. home take you to the beginning of the row and end take you to the end of the row). I was using DoubleCommand plugin, which changed the behavior in previous systems (SL, Lion, ML). But now in Mavericks, this plugin is not working any more. Does anybody know, how to change the behavior of these keys? I have tried to define my personal KeyBindings in Library folder, but to no avail. I'm really frustrated being dragged to the very beginning of my 300pages document every minute!

Thank you very much.

The DoubleCommand has not been upgraded since 2009, and I'm affraid it won't change anytime soon.

Will try your workaround. Thanks.

I have been using KeyRemap4MacBook to do exactly that for some time. I just tried it it 10.9 and Home/End works perfectly. I also you use it to change F13/14/15 to volume keys on my non-apple keyboard.

This image will show you the setting you're looking for. Type it into the search bar to find it quickly.

Thank you Fedge, the KeyRemap4MacBook works perfectly. I have already tried the other workaround with defining KeyBinings in terminal (see the first post), but to no avail.
