So I thought I would just be able to plug my current external wireless keyboard/mouse and monitor that I use with my PC into my MBP...but that isn't going to work. The keyboard/mouse is a combo thing but it still has that single plug (probably for keyboard) that has to plug into the computer along with a usb plug. I take it I must find something that is just a usb? Any suggestions on what you use? Also, concerning the keyboard I guess if you don't get an Apple one then you can't use the Apple Key, right? I need it to be able to work for both PC and Mac.

To the best of my knowledge any USB mouse and keyboard will work with a Mac. I do know my USB Apple mighty mouse will work on a PC .. :)

Just a question about your keyboard/mouse setup. I had a combo like that at one point, but if I wanted to use the USB plug instead of the regular keyboard/mouse plugs, then it was only the USB plug I'd have to put it.

What is the brand/model of the combo that you've got?

It is a logitech combo not sure what the model number is. The mouse is rechargeable it has it's own little cradle. So maybe I don't need to plug in both the PS2 and the USB cable? From the mouse cradle it starts as one cable then it splits into a PS2 and a USB. I have both of them plugged into my PC.

    it would work fine.

the usb hub thing it has transfers information for both the keyboard and mouse at once. I had a logitech keyboard that is similar

to the previous poster..you should only need one or the other for your mouse/keyboard to work..you don't need both ps2 and usb. Its just giving you the option to pick if your comp doesn't have usb.

also..the apple key will be the alt key on a windows keyboard. both have the same number of keys..they're just labeled differently.
