Just wondering if I attach an external Mic/Webcam combo (Logitech HD PRO WEBCAM C920) will it give me all the features of the OS that requires a mic/webcam.

Specifically:
Facetime (both Video and Audio only calls)
Signature Entry (for signing PDF's in Preview)
Dictation text input

I know apple can be finicky at times and not allow certain features if not using their own built in hardware, so just wanted to check than a 3rd party mic/webcam would be accepted.

Thanks!

I'll be watching this thread, it's a good question.

I personally have a Blue Yeti that works exceptionally, however it is only a microphone.

Just wanted to chime in. I don't have the C920 but I have it's brother the C615 currently attached to my Macmini6,2. I Facetime for many hours a month with my family (don't know about the audio only calls, never tried). I've tried the signature entry feature (which I don't have a need for but I though was cool). The cam also works in QT and Flash and I've used it in proctored exams for school. The Logitech Camera Settings for OSX also works under 10.11.4.
