External microphone

Hi all.

I am currently a freshman in college, and I would like to record my lectures through a external mic, since my internal mic is too weak to have a clear recording.

I've seen someone with a small usb mic to clip onto their tablet, so i'm trying to find something similar.


Any suggestions? Price isnt really a problem, just want to know of all my options in quality vs price.

is there not a mic that people regularly use for their ipad here? or a tablet in general ? or a mic that people refer to when someone is searching for a mic when traveling ?

I would recommend the Zoom H1. I believe you could plug it in to your iPad and record using a standard 3.5mm-out cable.
