External monitor for macbook pro early 2011, but...

Hello

Finally I'm a member here . My question is, I have a MBP early 2011. I want to get an external monitor for it or two. My problem is, which monitor should i get? or how can i choose because I might get a used one.

It is really tricky for me. I guess 1080p should be okay because my MBP is less than that"resolution"

Should I get any 1080p monitor?

How can i choose?

I have found a couple of 23" Apple Cinema Displays on Craigslist for decent prices. Works well and great image quality. I run my MBP in clamshell mode with the external display as the only monitor.

Your MBP should support up to a 2560x1600 monitor so whatever you can get close to that is great.

because I have a MBP15 2011, can i buy a monitor with usb port 3.0 and get 3.0 port speed?

You know that 2011 model just has usb 2.0
