Hey y'all and a very happy new year,

I am a web designer/web developer looking to purchase an external monitor for my Macbook - Do not want to go down the route of the Apple displays as funds cannot support, therefore I am wondering what you guys use or would suggest as an alternative for my line of work?

Budget range - £100-£150 not a lot of flexibility to be honest but still a range.

Thanks and look forward to your comments

Depends on what size and resolution you're after I suppose (I generally trawl for discounts/offers/end of line on tech shop websites) - just wanted to say to remember to factor in the display port and cables- I went for DVI and an apple mini adaptor and that took a £50+ chunk out my wallet, for which I was not very happy as my monitor was not very much more!)

in terms of picture quality, I don't think there's a single noteworthy monitor in that price range. all of them will use cheap TN panels. some will be decent, but the only way to tell a crappy TN panel from a decent one is to go and look at it.
