On my old alienware i was able to close the laptop while hooked up to another monitor and just do everything on there. Is there a way i can do that? Like right now its all on the external, but my macbook has to stay open cause when i close it, it like sleeps, so can i turn off hte monitor or close it? Thanks

In order to use closed-lid mode with an external monitor, you'll need to close the lid and let it go to sleep, THEN click your mouse or space bar and it should come back to life with full resolution on the external monitor.
