FINAL CUT EXPRESS

I'm running a firewire out to my camera, then to a tv for monitoring my video.

I'm hearing the outputed audio just fine, but the tv is just showing a still image of the last paused frame before the timeline was started. Then when the timeline is paused again, the tv switches to the new paused frame. I am NOT getting RENDER NEEDED text. And like I said the audio is getting to the tv just fine.

View is set to Firewire NTSC.
Does my Timeline settingsomehow need to be changed?
If so, where is that changed? And to what?

Thanks

I'm an FCP user, but this should be similar for FCE:

Go under the View menu and located the "External Video" submenu near the bottom. Make sure "All Frames" is selected and not "Single Frames".
