Hello,

I just got my external monitor 27 inch HP Pavilion and I want to say is I am very happy with the quality for such a price. The screen is perfect. I will link it on the bottom.

Now, few minor issues that don't really bother me but I would prefer to get rid of them if possible.

Every-time I put the monitor to sleep (as usual click sleep on my external monitor) and whenever I wake it up (by moving mouse or clicking on keyboard) it magnifies everything on the screen and I have to turn the monitor off and reconnect it as hdmi again like resetting it.

I will have the pictures for better explanation in a few minutes

I have MBA 14 by the way

There's going to be first one the normal one
and the second one is when it awakes.

Thanks you for all your help.

I will look for it when I get home

Found this on another Apple forum:

RESOLUTION: The resolution options are strange. The monitor defaulted to 1080p which blows the image up beyond the constraints of the monitor. As an example, I moved the menu bar over to the new monitor and you can't see it. The display preferences screen allow you to "underscan" which reduces the image size to fit, but mangles it pretty badly it does. I spend a lot of time at a command prompt and the text rendering was not only unusable, but **** near unreadable. I tried the other options (720p and 1600x900) and they both blew things up with some noticeable distortion. For now, I'm using it at the default 1080p

I bet it's a setting you need to adjust in the monitor control menus. I would look around in there and see what options are available and try some of them.

What kind of cable are you using from the MBA to the 27xi? Another user of this monitor mentioned that he had tried several different HDMI cables before finding this one and it working perfectly:

Also, do you have the latest EFI firmware?

Just checked the EFI firmware and this what the latest is but this what it shows on my computer. And after I downloaded it it tells me I have the latest one installed. Pictures attached

Or this last number doesn't make any difference?
