External monitor recommendation?

If you have lots of money to spend, get an Apple display:D, or a high end Dell. If you haven't got much money to spend on it, get a low end dell but it may lack...:(
 
The 2209WA is an excellent monitor and can be had for a pretty good price. I was able to get mine for $225 = $212 + $13 tax + $0 shipping.
