External monitor - wrong resolution! ARGGG

I'm using dual-link DVI to mini displayport on my macbook pro.
It's being recognized as 1920x1080.

Are there drivers that I can try to install?

I would try using a displayport to minidisplay port adapter. If you are using apple's dual-link DVI to MDP, then that could be the problem. That cable is not good.
