With every generation of iPad becoming more powerful what do you think the chances are that Apple will produce an iPad aspect ratio external monitor for office tasks?

I doubt they will. After all, the 4:3 ratio is old-fashioned and Apple is therefore more likely to change the iPad ratio to 16:9.

Air Display pretty much does this wirelessly. There's a small amount of lag, but it still works well.

is this to use the iPad as an extra screen for the Mac?

I was suggesting using an iPad as your main computer with an external monitor.
