The Apple Superdrive works but is quite expensive at $79.
This LG is very popular at less than 1/3 the cost. Amazon doesn't always have the best price.

Don't buy the Apple SuperDrive.
Instead, just about any 3rd-party drive will be much cheaper and work the same.

One thing about the tray type as opposed to slot loading is that you can always remove a problem disk without a hassle.
Hmmm... you can buy the Apple for $69.99 on Amazon. Still 3x the price of what you need unless you want to include Blu-Ray.

I bought the external SuperDrive from Best Buy and have been totally happy with it on my iMac and MBA.
