External PCIe slot

Which then leads me to want to hook up an external graphics card to my thunderbolt port. Problem with that is that the cheapest external PCIe enclosure was about $400. Any ideas as to where I could pick up something for less than $100.

Yeah and now about an hour on google. The only thing that I keep seeing is one that have 4 PCIe slots. Which are about $400-$1000. If only these people made one that just had one PCIe slot which would be cheaper.

Would you think an external GPU would work right out of the box like that? I think having an eGPU needs to be supported by Apple first..
