Hi all,

I'm debating whether to purchase an external RAID setup or build a PC with RAID in preparation for my order of the 17" UMBP. I am not sure if the MBP is capable of supporting an eSATA RAID or even RAID at all. The enclosure I'm looking at is here:

Would it be better to do this or simply build a PC that has FW800 and use a RAID on the PC to back up my data? I've been researching the past couple days and keep running in circles with regards to support/performance of eSATA expresscards, RAID enclosures, and enclosures in general. Is RAID possible with eSATA expresscard support? I was also looking at:

Could I make a raid with that enclosure? What do you guys think would be best?

I want to run my OS and store video/image work on the external RAID if that helps any.
