hi. I am going to use my brand new i7 connected to a screen at home. What do you recommend except cinema display? those things are monstrously priced.. :/ (I need something at least 21') (and mroogle returned posts from 2004)
Be aware that you can date-restrict your MRoogle searches. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...s.com&btnG=Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= External monitor recommendation? - Mac Forums Best External Monitor for 15 inch MBP?? - Mac Forums MacBook Pro with External Monitor -What do you recommend? - Mac Forums Good non-apple external monitor for MBP? - Mac Forums
Dell UltraSharp 23", 24" or HP LP series or ZR series 24" U2410, U2311H, LP2475W, and ZR24W all use IPS panels, but the U2410 and LP2475W are H-IPS, the U2311H is e-IPS and the ZR24W is S-IPS there are some goods deals right now on the Dells U2410 $431 U2311H $239 look here
Dell SP2309w - http://accessories.dell.com/sna/pro...l.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1&sku=320-7641 Although, its not an IPS display. I find the image quality identical to the 24" Cinema Display. and at <$300 its a steal!
While that may be a nice display, I can't see why anyone would buy that over the UltraSharp U2311H for roughly the same money.
hey i know this is a bit old but just so people know the Dell Sp2309w is on sale again down to $209.30, thats 30 cents more than the refurb price! You need a coupon code to get it down from the $229 it costs with the dell "sale" that is normal. Just google search and you'll find it, if not then go to dell deals, then electronics then the one of the three banners is the 30% big monitors coupon... it works for the sx2210 as well so take your pick. I think the sx2210 gets down to 195 or so. I picked up a sp2309w because its only 15 more for a bigger screen better stand webcam and higher resolution.
How do you find it for photo editing.? I saw on the dell website that you can wall mount it but how, do you have to buy an addition Vesa "mount fitter"? Thanks, Also do you have the sound bar for it?
I don't use it for photo editing, but I to my naked eyes it has excellent viewing angles, and what appears to be accurate color. It has 82% gamut though, which is good but not as good as the U2410 which is better suited for professionals. It has a VESA mount so I don't think you need any sort of filter or adapter. I'm using a set of cheap Creative speakers as the soundbar did not get appear to be favorably received. You might find this to be of interest: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1275291737 Dell's website says it has 82% gamut so I think the 72% that's listed there is a typo.
