External SSD - Thunderbolt 4?

A while back I was helped out in the forum to source the fastest external TB3 SSD enclosure - ACASIS runs circles around OWC's Envoy!

I'm planning on getting another one soon - but also plan on a newer Mac at some point so wanted to ensure it's full Thunderbolt 4 speed capable.

I was just wondering if the ACASIS is still the speed king of external SSD enclosures (they claim TB4 compatibility - but not speed necessarily) - or if something faster is out now?

There's new enclosures using the ASMedia AMS2464PD. It's not an intel chip but It's supposed to be Thunderbolt compatible. It has the advantage of supporting PCIe gen 4 downstream. It may also support USB 3.2 gen 2x2 but I'm not sure. I haven't read a lot of reviews and such.
