Hello,

Running High Sierra.
Still consider myself pretty new with the Mac.

If i do a Save Page As, and have it placed on the desktop,
works fine, and what I copied to the Desktop is there.

But-

There is also created at the same time, and also placed on the desktop, a Folder
with essentially the same name.

Has a bunch of "stuff' in it that I have no idea what it is.

What is this (extra) Folder that is created ?

Do I need it, and should I save it (somewhere) ?

How can I just simply have just the page I
want to Save to the Desktop, without this added Folder complication ?
Any way ?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob, the folder is created in order to store the images and stylesheets that make up the web page so that it can be redisplayed as-is when you open the file later on. If you only want the page itself to be saved (no images or styling), select "Web Page, HTML Only" from the dropdown list when you're saving a page. If you're using Safari, the option is labelled "Page Source".

Hi,

Thanks.

I understand now.
Takes a bit of time at my age now.

Regards,
Bob
