Hi folks,
I am the developer of ExtraBar. A macOS menu bar app I created in order to customize the menus of apps in my menu bar.
This project started because I had recurring actions that I have to do everyday, like join two Daily Zoom meetings, launch different projects/workspaces in my Cursor, open Figma to specific deep links and some more actions.
With the power of deep links ExtraBar evolved even more. It became a command center for apps like Raycast, Keyboard Maestro, BetterTouchTool, DEVONthink, Notion, Todoist, Fantastical, Things 3. Everything with a deep link could be added to ExtraBar and be controlled with simple keyboard navigation, one hotkey triggers focus to ExtraBar and the rest is moving with your arrows, or if you prefer simply using your mouse.
The process of the app is simple, you add apps, they get injected into your menu bar, and then you can add actions directly to them, or organize actions in sub folders (you can also collapse all apps under a single icon to save space, or set ExtraBar to floating mode which I'll show in the screenshots below).
Harvesting the power of Raycast without having to remember all my extensions:
Figma with deep links to specific projects I switch between (Bar in floating mode - size adjustable for accessibility):
Built in Bookmark Manager - Fully keyboard-driven (this project is called Shiori, it's currently a sub app of ExtraBar but it'll be a full scale project with API, cloud sync, web dashboard, mobile apps and full cross platform bookmark management):
Check out ExtraBar for more information and short video guides, feedback is more than welcome!
Cheers!
