Extract audio from MPEG-4

How can I extract the audio from an MPEG-4 Video File and save it as .mp3?

Open the file with Quicktime and use the extract function. Open a new QT window and paste the audio there. Then you can export the audio.

Interesting. However, I think that feature is only available in QT Pro. Am I wrong?

Might have a look at MPEG Streamclip. I think it lets you extract audio. Not the easiest interface, but a lot of cool features.
