Hi

I need to get induvidual clips and trailers form DVDs i own to use in a film lecture. I would like to do this with out any quality loss and size is not an issue.

Is have tried HandBrake, but it seems to me it is designed for other uses mostly related to compressing files, removing black bars etc. I do not want to remove any of the frame og compres is, just get individual chapters from the DVD to mpg2 without recoding or compressing.

Can any one recomend a program that will do this?

Thanks :)

You can't do it with out going through another round of compression but you should be able to do it without any noticeable loss in quality.

Download Mpeg Streamclip. Its a freeware program. Pop dvd in your drive.. File>open dvd and click the Video folder, it will load the whole dvd and you can export as anything you wish. Make sure when you export, its very important.. Set the quality to 100%.
