New Mac user here, and I have a questions regarding multiple archives.
On a daily basis I have maybe 50 zip's all in one folder. Each file contains different files. With Windows I used Winrar to "extract all to separate folder". This is the exact behavior I am trying to mimic within OS X.

I know I can select each archive with Archive Utility and extract each one that way, but it opens each extracted folder in another finder window. Not exactly ideal.

Any ideas, or better yet, a solution?

Yes, I'd like an answer to this too.
The built in handling of zip files and other archives is a bit rubbish if you are used to using WinZip or WinRar on a PC.
I want to be able to see what's in an archive, selectively preview, add, update or extract to a folder of my choice.
Its all very clever of Apple to make it just do stuff - but not a lot of use if it doesn't just do what you want it to do.

The worrying thing is that having had my MacBook for 3 weeks I am finding more and more reasons to fire up my old PC laptop and use that instead.
