Long story short: Problems with my Air. Genius had me do a clean install (It needed it).
DURING the restore from my time capsule/time machine backup, the sparse bundle got corrupted (as best we can tell). Spent 2.5 hrs with genius bar, and 1.5 hours with apple care with no luck.

So, back ups are all inaccessible.

My documents were all on dropbox (thank god).

    Work movies mostly in dropbox.

Music (non iTunes) and photos now ONLY live on iPhone.
I used DeTune to extract the music (better choices?)
Is there any way to extract the 1,376 photos in photo albums that now only exist on my iPhone? photostream photos are easy, but manually moving 1300 photos seems, well, a bummer. Is there a trusted 3rd party app for that? Like DeTune, and expod, but for photos?
    I'm on a mac 10.8.2.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Solved!

I Solved my problem. I downloaded (in demo, then promptly bought) an app called PhoneView.

It allowed me to extract all 1300 photos in roughly the same resolution.

It cost $30, but was totally worth it.
