Ifti macrumors 601 Original poster Jun 13, 2013 #1 I have an Airport Extreme at the moment (a couple of years old), and am looking to buy the newest Time Capsule instead. Can I back up the config from my Extreme and restore it to the TC, or do I need to perform a fresh setup on the TC?

You can export your configuration from your Extreme to your new TC. What I did was setup the TC as new and then import the configuration file.
