Hey everyone. I have two different iTunes accounts that I buy apps with. When I go to update multiple apps, it sometimes asks me to log into the account that I DIDN'T buy the app with, but then tells me that I need to buy the app to update. Even if I was already logged into the account that I did pay for the app with, it asks for the other one, but then doesn't let me update.

The only way around this is to delete the app, then buy it again with the same account I bought it with initially (ends up free, but still annoying because I lose any saved progress/files/whatever)

For the record, this works on my and my brothers iPhones perfectly. There are absolutely no issues with using multiple accounts with them for over a year now.

    any help?

When it 'rejects' you, what happens if you immediately go in and try again?

I have multiple iTunes accounts in different countries and it usually rejects once, then accepts (has to change stores).

if i try again, or try to update invidually rather than the "update all" it just does the same thing. telling me that "the discounted price is for people who bought the app" or something along those lines. but i DID pay for the app!

Another option would be just to do all of your updates from your iTunes computer, then sync.

I realise this isn't ideal but it might be better than losing things from your apps when you delete and reinstall.

I'm having problems with this as well. Even if I put in the password associated with the email account the app was purchased under, the password gets rejected. Add this to the fact that my wife and I each have separate user accounts on the PC and it becomes a nightmare because the Mobile_Applications folder is in two different places.

I end up having to update the app on my iPad / iPhone, sync, copy the .ipa file to her user account and then sync her device. It's a pain.

Just log in to the account you purchased the app on and you'll be able to update.

You might be able to automate the copying of these files by searching for a free 'folder sync' application for windows. I've seen several for OSX and can only imagine there is an option for you. I suggest making sure the folder you are copying to is set for read/write permissions for anyone to ensure it works well.

Have you tried renaming the folder and placing a 'shortcut' from your Mobile_Applications folder into where hers would be? If so, make sure your read/write is global. It may work! No copying/syncing of directories would then be necessary. I don't have quite as much experience with shortcuts on windows but on OSX the shortcuts are actually symbolic links to the directory and most applications honor them as if they are the actual folder.
