I think the US keyboard is the most elegant, but this enter key must be luxurious to push.

holy crap that looks ridiculous.

Yup, english one looks a lot better. Hooray for our messed up english language! At least it lends itself well to a keyboard...

Anyone know why the UK version had to be different than the US version?

Americans are always different. Not the UK.

And you're lucky to hear that from an Irishman ;)

But generally all keyboard layouts are different. Check out wikipedia's entry.

All european keyboards have the smaller enter key.

I think the US one is more comfortable. I had a dutch keyboard and missed the small enter key many times

I'd much rather keep the full size space bar and delete even if that enter key does look like I could enter the hell outta stuff with it.

The small space bar on Japanese keyboards can drive you insane. Especially, if like me, you seem to use your right thumb just under the M key. That key changes between typing modes, so you get alternate English and Japanese words. Argggh!

But you have to love that return key!

Etching out individual unibodies for every style of keyboard must be a financial nightmare for Apple. LOL
