Hey I just unboxed my Series 7 45mm SS today, and it's beautiful and I'm coming from a Series 3 so it's a huge upgrade for me with the bigger screen and faster processor and additional sensors, but my question is... I've noticed sliding out the bands from the top portion (nearest the Digital Crown) is very tight and doesn't glide compared to my S3.

I almost had a heart attack as I was sliding the Milanese loop out, and it was so tight that I had to almost yank it out, and when it came out the sharp edge/hook of the loop almost caught the side of my brand-new Apple Watch! (Before anybody suggests, yes I am making sure I press in the release button fully as I remove the band).

Is it possible for an Apple Watch's physical dimensions to be machined incorrectly or smaller? I don't know what to do!

help!

I had the same problem.  replaced my Milanese band and Aluminum Apple Watch, but the new Milanese band had the same problem. I still have the same problem, but to a lesser degree after practice. It’s a milanese band problem, not Watch problem. I would say try to pay attention to the angle you slide it out at and maybe try not pushing the button in all the way. I know that sounds like strange advice - but it requires some tinkering.. FYI, I also upgraded from the series 3 so had the same exact experience as you.

For me the issue is with certain bands, not the watch itself. My Nike Pride band is extremely difficult to slide in or out of any of my 4 watches. My Hermes band is also quite difficult to slide. Other bands slide on and off of the same watches easily.

Here also many bands are very Tight on my new series 7 SSGold.
mainly the bands with metal adapters, like the midnight leather link I bought with the Watch, and some 3rd party bands with metal adapters.
The sport loops and sport bands slide in and out okay. (Maybe a hair tighter than my series 4 space gray aluminum)

Same problem here with SSG and milanaise loop. But after a few times sliding it in and out it’s all good now.
