Now that's quite possible. I'm using a 24" cinema display. A different ball of wax as they say.

I have the same issue, reported here:

https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=8441913

with links to other similar issues I have read about. Really disappointed that even a clean install of SL didnt remedy this. Im back on 10.5 for now.

FYI, eyeone match software sucks, I have much more control and get more info with a superior end result using argyllCMS/dispcalGUI.

I just called and...

X-Rite support told me that the i1 Display is not compatible with the final release of Snow Leopard. Apparently their Eye-One Match software worked with the Snow Leopard beta release, but it's broken now.

I guess we'll have to wait for an update from X-Rite...

not to completely derail the thread, but using the I1, are there better apps to make screen profiles?

Can anyone confirm that it works (albeit under Rosetta) with the kernel running in 64-bit mode and not the default 32-bit mode?

I did not have any issues running it with 64-bit mode active other than some mild delay in updating the meters when adjusting brightness/colors before the automated part of the calibration. My colors seem a bit off still, so I'm going to try running another calibration. I'll update this if 10.6.1 in 64-bit mode doesn't like the X-Rite software for some reason or another.

So what is the verdict on 10.6.1 Eye one match working?

thanks,

Eye Match is working no problem for me, never a hitch. I'm giving 2.2 gamma a try (I'll probably be switching back and forth depending on whether I'm doing web or print). Color aware apps appear exactly the same. The only difference I'm seeing is with color unaware apps, where the color used to be totally blown out on my HPLP3065, now they're drab and sickly (even when I switch back to 1.8). Can't seem to find that sweet spot.

snow leopard and NEC LCD2690

i really wish i had read this forum before upgrading to snow leopard. The main screen is horribly washed out, i upgraded the latest version of color eyes just to get my calibrator to work with the new os. I can't calibrate the monitor my numbers are off the charts. Does anyone know if i need to change the settings of the whites, blacks or luminance settings?
Actually is there anyway of going back to the old os? I did an upgrade and archive but can i do that backwards?

Doesn't work unless you install Rosetta

I'm seriously disappointed about this. They released an update that they say is compatible with Snow Leopard, but I tried to install it and it requires Rosetta.

I have absolutely no use for Rosetta anymore and do not want it in my computer. How can a company today have software that only works on Rosetta? That means it's PPC only and not compatible with Intel-based machines natively. It's amazing when you think that all Mac's have been Intel based for the past 4 years or so.

X-Rite is seriously falling behind. I'm now looking at other options as colour calibration is critical for me, but I refuse to have my computers bloated with old software that I have no use for. I may have to buy a new one from a different brand.

I would not recommend X-Rite products to anyone until they update their software.

I tend to agree, it's just very bad business to be riding on emulation for something so important. I wonder if you can un-install rosetta later if there's an update...

So did anyone here had any success at all with their MacBook calibration? I'm thinking of trying it by doing a fresh SL install, but if it's useless...

Apologies for the necropost.... but just wanted to say I've found the free dispcalGUI software to be problem-free and works great. Lion-compatible too I'm told....
