(8) definitely doesn't look like sand anymore now! Is it a jar of Dijon Mustard?
(9) a window release?
(10) a flash covering from a compact camera?
(11) a carton of googs? That look more like oranges!
(12) it's a hook of some kind, but that top bit has me thrown in regards to identifying it...
(13) the inners of a bulb
(14) looking up a fridge/freezer door handle
(15) honeycomb cell blinds (I don't know what interior decorators call them)

@Alexander.Of.Oz you nailed all of them!

Some new pics. I've been judging the challenge based on non-photographers. Still too easy for this crowd obviously. Here is a new bunch. A few may still be easy, but hopefully at least a couple will present more of a challenge.

Please feel free to add your own pics to this thread!!! Mine are clearly too easy. It's a photography forum--stump your fellow photographers!

18 is the top of a propane tank and I think 16 is the top of the grill for said propane take where the lid hinges.

19 is the elbow of a gutter. 22 I think is a hose nozzle.

OK, Here's my guesses...

8) French Mustard?
9) Is the release catch on a screen over a window - suspect garage window
10) Could be the lens covers over an outdoor light? one of the motion detected security lights OR lens on the light of an extractor fan over a hob
11) he he he... Eggs in an egg box
12) Is it a picture hook with an overhead light?
13) Filament lightbulb
14) Upward shot of the handle on the refrigerator
15a) Sun on a window blind ?
15b) Looks like the side shot of a Roman blind? or some knd of fabric blind that collapses when the cord is pulled
16) The bolt on a gate
17) Water from a garden tap
18) Patio (BBQ) gas canister
19) No idea
20) Is that a welcome mat? maybe at the garage door or back door with the growth, wouldnt be at the front door.
21) Wine bottle opener the one that looks like a bloke raising and lowering his arms
22) Metal valve on the end of a garden hose?
23) Roof tiles with moss growing so assume northern elevation of roof maybe on garage as house would be too difficult to get angle on?

Loving this....

@Alexander.Of.Oz : you have me stumped with #24. The texture seems very familiar, but I can't quite place it. Bleh.

Answers to mine thus far:
Guessed by several people already in the thread. Kudos and thanks for posting!

(1) A light switch in my shed
(2) The duck-bill connector to an Apple extension cord
(3) A door jam
(4) The underside to a red Lego brick
(5) The Arca Swiss connector on my tripod
(6) The spout of a kettle--I have a series of pics I took of this kettle with steam coming out of it. I think I shared at least one here. It was an exercise in lighting as I liked the concept of lighting the steam and the metal made it significantly more challenging. @kenoh saw many of these (and still ribs me about them), though the hint also worked for those that know he lives in the UK and thus *must* love tea ;)
(7) As revealed in a previous post, the plastic band surrounding our OJ bottles
(8) A Grey Poupon bottle (as shown in a post above)
(9) The latch on a window screen (actually inside our house and not in the garage)
(10) The front of a Sony flash head
(11) Eggs in an egg crate
(12) A picture hook
24994804067_772ef7a467_c.jpg

(13) A lightbulb (I expected this one to be a little harder than it turned out to be)
(14) Looking up at the front of our fridge. Taken with a 12mm lens and not the 90mm macro I've used for the others.
(15) Window blinds
(16) A latch on a fence
39833555732_aed924944e_c.jpg

(17) Water flowing from an indoor faucet. Kind of disgusting to see the faucet this close up. We clean dishes and drink from this???
(18) A propane tank for an outdoor grill
39865926811_136f6846b8_c.jpg

(19) The elbow of an outdoor gutter drain pipe. Below is an alternate take of the front which may help you get oriented.
25992350628_9f2abacc18_c.jpg

(20) An outside doormat.
25992346438_dbd57cfdfc_c.jpg

(21) A wine bottle opener, the ubiquitous type with the two arms (as @kenoh described it).
(22) The end of a water hose attachment to control the spray of the water
39833555202_ce8653c576_c.jpg

(23) The roof of our shed (as correctly deduced in minute (and accurate) detail by @kenoh), though others got it too.

-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

Overall, things have been easy (easier than I was expecting to be honest, though this is a forum of photographers who are used to really *seeing* the world around them). Tough crowd. And @Alexander.Of.Oz has perhaps outdone me in stumping the crowd.

A couple more of my own which I *think* will be more challenging:

(28) (this one is actually a bit unfair, but I wanted to stump some of the peeps who have been guessing the answers right off the bat!)

25) Tile grout
26) flush button on a lavatory or the bleed nipple on a radiator
27) is the bottom of the decrative plate that hangs on that brass hook from the other day...
28) pan scourer
[doublepost=1516782034][/doublepost]
Nup. Keep thinking!

(25) I reckon @Apple fanboy has it!
(26) Is it the end of a towel rail, viewed side on?
(27) Is it the bottom of a double-insulated cup of some sort?
(28) I hope it's not your secret stash of belly-button lint and that @Apple fanboy has it correct!

Not a chisel is it? or is it an awl or one of those tools used to make etchings in leather ?

Sorry, Ken, its none of those. This one's definitely a tool of some sort, not really used for electronics, and not really for crafts either.

Is it a long reach Torqs screwdriver used on RC cars?

Someone help me! I am going out of my mind here!
It's not a Torque Driver, but it is used on my nitro 1/8 scale RC buggies and 4WD's. You are so close, I reckon you'll get it with this next visual clue.

Hole punch? Back scratcher? Screw driver?
Nup, nup and nup.

You used to drive RC cars?
I still do, just the big boy versions. 1/8 scale modified nitro beasts, although I'm looking at converting them to electric soon.

The next clue, and I reckon this one will get @kenoh over the line.

Hex driver or Allen key.

I used to race RC cars back in my youth. 1/10th electric. Used to travel all over the country.
