EyeTV 250 vs EyeTV Hybrid

I was thinking about picking up an EyeTV 250 (not plus) or EyeTV Hybrid on eBay. I wanted to use it not for TV on my computer, but to digitize VHS tapes. Would the EyeTV Hybrid be capable of this or would the EyeTV 250 be higher quality?

I know it's possible, I'm just not sure if the bigger investment is worth it. According to this post ( http://forums.elgato.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4280#p21727 ) the 250+ is a lot better for analog signals. (I'm assuming that the original 250 will be similar).

I can't speak for the hybrid, but my 250 does this job nicely.

They hybrid will use your computer processors to encode an analog input, so it will never look as good as the 250 plus or 250 that has its own video encoders.
