EyeTV crashes

Greetings! Lately, on my 250 plus, I have had lots of system-locking-requiring-hard-reboot crashes, usually on eyeTV playback. I was having the problem with 2.0 and now with the latest 3.0 software still having the problem. Any suggestions? I do have a service inquiry into EyeTV, but still waiting for an answer. this is on an intel iMac 2.16, with 3gb ram. Thanks

their support is crappy-they take forever. I know this is a stupid question but what settings are you using for recording and playback-it can have an effect on the system
