Well it's an eyetv disc i have an issue with at least. When loading disc into my 24" Imac it's not loading? Usually i would see some form of image on desktop but nothing. Anyone have any ideas / know of any way of prompting to load from disc?

Flip the disc over. Have you covered the silver strip around the central hole in fingermarks?

Tried that and after about 10 secs it got spat out, i've tried a different disc and the same occurred, not happy if i have a drive issue already, only 6 months old🙁

Solves your immediate issue, but I'd still be suspicious about that drive. Might be worth ringing Applecare.
