Thank you f.lux people Finally have it on my iPhone https://justgetflux.com/sideload/ First time I have used Xcode. Not that hard - impressed myself that I could do it and side load
It's strange that they have not released source code to the "iflux" program (the one actually doing job of changing color temperature), but only to the controlling app. If they would do that, Apple could NOT request them to pull it - as If I understand it correctly, it's the compiled + signed binary that breaks their developer agreement. In fact I don't think they have ever released source code of it for any platform, which makes it questionable if it doesn't do something you don't want it to (i.e. tracking you) - let's reach out to them and ask - why is that?
Plenty of software out there that isn't open source that is also just fine and doesn't have or do anything weird (like tracking or anything like that).
Because it's patent-pending. They're not going to give away their work that could potentially net them millions of dollars.
Anyone know of a reliable download source? I know it's available on torrents but I wouldn't trust those. Thanks.
I'd wish Apple would allow this without you having to make all kinds of tweaks I hate getting blinded by my iPhone/iPad during the night!
Well, it looks like as of iOS 9.3 this type of functionality will finally be built-in: http://www.apple.com/ios/preview/
