F5 F6 keys useless??

I have the latest wireless aluminium keyboard and the F5 and F6 keys are black and as far as i can understand, are un programmable. Is there any way to program these at all?? for example F5 to bring up launchpad??

The f5 and f6 key are used for the back lighting on the mbp and mba.

but because the keyboard doesnt have backlights its black.

You can change it yourself by going into system preferences and chosing either keyboard or repose & spaces, from there you can use what you want as the option on your keyboard.

And for... well F5 and F6, that's why they're there. Forgot what F6 does but F5 refreshes the page (in Windows anyway).
