Well tomorrow is the first FA Cup final at the new Wembley. But the big question is, who will win? I think it could be Man Utd. They have a stronger team at the moment without in injuries that have hit Chelsea (although it probably isn't as bad a Jose wants us to think!). Should be a good game and hopefully both teams will give 100%.
I don't think you need worry that both teams will give anything but 100% ... as it's the first FA cup final in the "New Wembley" I'm sure it will be a "belter" as they say here in the Emerald Isle. FJ
In pure supporter terms, I don't want either to win, but if I had to choose one, it would be Man Utd. In pure football terms, again it would be Man Utd. **c* Chelsea and their special manager and dodgy Russian money. They should be called Fulham Broadway FC.
I agree that both teams will give 100% but I'm not sure it'll be a belter! My worry is that neither team will really want to lose as it's the first cup final at the new Wembley and the game will therefore be a bit dull! Hopefully I'll be totally wrong though and it will be as good as last years!
I just cannot get myself to hope for Man Utd... no matter who they're playing against... ever... I don't really care who wins, but I'm cheering for the blue ones (which comes a bit more naturally to me, anyway)...
Man United will win I think, and at the end of the day I think I hope they do too.. hard as it is to call that one.. Chelsea losing on penalties (again) would be my preference.. ideally with Cashley **** missing the decisive one.
ManUre have been the most entertaining and convincing team this season, so would be my choice. Chelski have spent a ridiculous amount of money, play boring, have an arrogant SOB manager... and will probably win 1-0 in injury time.
As a neutral, I'll be watching the match but I'm not overly fussed who wins it my interest in that respect ended in the Third Round. But what I'm hoping is that it'll be an entertaining, exciting match something in the vein of the Liverpool-West Ham final we enjoyed last year, rather than a damp squib as some recent finals have been. Unfortunately, given all the reasons for wanting it being a classic the current two top teams in the country, the first final at the new stadium makes me think we might end up disappointed. Will it live up to expectations?
Yeah, was an excellent goal. Very worthy of winning a cup final! I think Chelsea were just about the better side and deserved the win.
I shall be popping around the corner and down to the Kings Road to watch the parade. It might be tomorrow.
I don't like Chelsea (now, because of all the irritating 'supporters' that just happened to pop up after Abramovich came), but my brother supports Man United, and was even there, so I was semi-supporting the blues
The trouble with potential is that it generally means two big sides in the final and that means no-one wanting to lose!
I mentioned earlier in the thread that I hoped the match would be an exciting affair –unfortunately though I found it rather disappointing. Certainly it was nowhere near as good as last year's final and I think I've been spoilt by watching the play-off semi-finals over the past week which have been absolutely cracking games, even for the neutral. It's a busy weekend for the new Wembley – tomorrow it plays host to the Conference play-off final. I wonder if the non-Leaguers can serve up a better match than the Premiership's top teams?
If someone told me that a championship game would end 1-0 on a goal scored deep into extra time was boring, I wouldn't have believed it, but it happened. Both sides looked lackluster. After Drogba scored, I remember thinking, why didn't he just do that earlier.
