Face detection in Photos app

Has anyone been able to activate the feature?

On my iPad it keeps saying it will start scanning for faces once there's good connection and battery life, but I got both of them for a while now and nothing's happened

It's working for me but is taking a very long time to scan. I have a library with about 20,000 photos though.
